Barrier material is a grease and water-proof barrier material with UV-blocking properties that was originally used for military packaging.

It is made of a plastic foil, a weave a self-adhesive wax mixture and optionally an aluminium foil. The integrated aluminium foil gives the material a certain degree of water vapour tightness and blocks sunlight.

Barrier materials protect products from moisture, dampness and other harmful substances. Aluminium compound foil, self-adhesive, prevents the soiling of inner packaging through dripping grease or oil.
